The 2019 Mentorship Program kicked off on Wednesday, April 24 at Drake’s at the Barn in West Sacramento. This year’s program includes seven pairs of mentors and mentees, and most of our participants were able to join us for our “Meet Your Match” event. The event started with a mix & mingle where everyone introduced herself and met other participants over drinks and pizzas. WTS Sacramento President, Lauren Reinking, welcomed the group and shared a few words about the importance of mentors to young professionals. Program Chair, Sarah Strand, explained the program to our participants. Then, matches were revealed as each mentee opened an envelope to read out the name of her mentor. Mentor/mentee pairs spent some time getting to know each other and comparing calendars to schedule one-on-one mentoring meetings.
Join us in wishing our participants an enjoyable and fruitful nine months!
