What is WTS Sacramento? Is it different than WTS International?
WTS is an international organization dedicated to building the future of transportation through the global advancement of women’s careers in the Transportation industry. WTS International was founded in 1977 and has grown to more than 6,500 members and 79 chapters worldwide, located in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. WTS Sacramento is one of these chapters. We are a geographic-specific group composed of volunteers from both the public and private sectors, at all stages of our careers from entry level to executive. WTS Sacramento also provides scholarships for young women in school pursing a career related to STEM and/or transportation. More information can be found on our Scholarships Page.

What does WTS stand for?
WTS stands for Women's Transportation Seminar, which was how it was named when founded in 1977 when women couldn't receive subsidies for association memberships unless they were educational. Now times have changed, and joining an association is an opportunity for women and men to work together and benefit each other in their careers.

How do I become a WTS Member? What are the benefits?

Can only women become a member?
Absolutely not. We encourage individuals of all gender identification to become a member of WTS!

How do I renew my WTS membership?
Please renew your membership by going to the WTS International website's membership renewal page. You will be asked for the log-in that you used when you first signed up.

I lost my log-in information! What do I do?
If you do not have access to your log-in information available, please contact membership@wtsinternational.org for assistance on resetting your online log-in information.
7.
What if I change jobs?
If your contact information has changed, please email our Chapter Membership Chair. Be sure to update your contact information on your international log-in as well!
8.
How do I sign up to receive announcements from the chapter?
Please send an email our Chapter Secretary stating your request.

How do I volunteer with the chapter?
We would be happy to have you join us! Contact our Chapter President to discuss your interest and availability.

When and where is the next WTS Annual Conference?
The Annual Conference location is rotated around the country each year and is normally held in May. For information on the next Annual Conference, please visit this page.

How can I post a job listing on your chapter's website?

What is the WTS Foundation? How do I donate to the WTS Foundation?
WTS International and the WTS Foundation are two separate entities:
WTS International and its chapters are a professional association and a registered non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(6), which covers groups organized to serve membership of a specific industry or profession. Contributions made to WTS International and its chapters are not deductible as charitable donations to the extent allowed by tax law. WTS Sacramento Chapter‘s federal tax identification number is 68-0154975.
WTS Foundation, launched in 2009, was established to award scholarships to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded nearly $4 million in scholarship money. For a list of our Scholarships, please visit this page. The WTS Foundation is a registered tax-exempt non-profit organization under Section 501(c)(3). Contributions made to the WTS Foundation are deductible as charitable donations to the extent allowed by tax law. The Foundation’s tax identification number is 26-4058230.
Please send donations for the WTS Foundation to the Sacramento Chapter's mailing address with a letter stating the donation is specifically for the WTS Foundation. Donation checks can be made payable to "WTS Sacramento". Our Chapter’s address is PO Box 188125, Sacramento, CA 95818-8125.
