Transportation YOU Engineering & Sciences Meeting

On Friday 5/8 Transportation You went to the Engineering and Sciences School for a second time for a lunchtime meeting. The volunteers did a complete streets activity with the students, where they designed an intersection from scratch that included multiple vehicle lanes, bike lanes, and sidewalks, emphasizing the importance of designing for multiple modalities. The students were very engaged and came up with a great intersection! This was the students’ first exposure to the concept of a complete street. Thank you to volunteers Mari Ramones and Anna Johnson, and we look forward to returning to the school once the next school year starts.
