WTS at UC Davis has continued to host events through Zoom for our Graduate and Undergraduate student members who are scattered around the world.
In March, they hosted three executives and an engineer from California High Speed Rail for a presentation and panel discussion. Their members got the chance to learn more about the project and ask the women about their experiences in the transportation industry. They were also honored to host Carlye Buchholz of R.E.Y. Engineers for a presentation about her work on the Placerville Historic Street Reconstruction, where she delved into the complex components of engineering and public feedback.
Beyond their guest speakers, they hosted two meetings to help bolster their community while remote, including a Zoom study session and a resume workshop hosted by the UC Davis Internship and Career Center.
