Springtime is here and I hope you are getting out and enjoying the nice weather.
I am pleased to announce that our chapter once again received Gold recognition, the highest category, in the WTS Circle of Excellence at the WTS Annual Conference last week. This recognition reflects all of the programs, events, and information our chapter shares with our members and the Sacramento region transportation community. A huge thank you to the WTS Sacramento Chapter Board for their dedication and to everyone who has engaged and participated in our events and programs. You all help make this happen!
In addition, I’d like to announce that the updated WTS Sacramento Chapter Bylaws have been approved. We reached a 1/3 membership quorum for the vote to be valid with a majority of those votes approving the update. Thank you to everyone who voted. Keeping the Chapter Bylaws updated is a necessary process for our Chapter to run smoothly. The final approved bylaws will be posted here for your reference shortly.
Continue to read below for recaps of our March Lunch Program, our first ever joint program with WTS San Francisco and WTS Central California about the Northern California Megaregion Priority Projects, and our April Lunch Program about the 2nd Ave Improvements in the Envision Broadway in Oak Park Plan, plus much more!
Stay tuned for more events coming up this Spring and Summer. We are looking to provide more in-person opportunities that you won’t want to miss. Thank you for your continued support of our Chapter!
Warmest Regards,
Emily Abrahams
