About the event
In 2021, the Northern California Megaregion Working Group selected 12 priority transportation projects to improve travel between the Bay Area, Sacramento Area, and the Central Valley. The so-called "Megaregion Dozen" includes transformative rail and highway projects that are critical to supporting the rapidly-growing 16-county megaregion. The three Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) have committed to working together to secure funding for all 12 projects. This lunch program, jointly hosted by the WTS Sacramento, San Francisco-Bay Area, and Central California Chapters, will provide an overview of each project and the efforts of the Megaregion Working Group to work together on their shared priorities. The program will feature speakers from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG), and Port of Oakland.
