About the event

The Railroad Street Improvements and the Old Town Plaza Projects are two of the Elk Grove City Council’s highest priority projects and have been long awaited by many. These two projects located in the heart of Old Town Elk Grove are intended to create a sense of place, connecting the community by creating a space that is inviting and welcoming, improving circulation and access to the area for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles and by providing improvements necessary for future development. The City’s Economic Development Team has worked closely with a local developer who is redeveloping two existing historic buildings along Railroad Street with plans for a future mixed use live/work type development in between them

The Railroad Street and Old Town Plaza projects are nearing completion, as is the first phase of the developer driven project to renovate the first historic building into a new restaurant. City staff are planning the grand opening for late July, planning the return of food truck mania and are looking forward to hosting a variety of new events at the renovated Old Town Plaza with plenty of parking along Railroad Street.
