About the event
This month we will be joined by Lily Chang, Senior Bridge Engineer at California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Her presentation will give a construction overview of the U.S. Highway 50 Design-Build Multimodal Corridor Enhancement Project, a $433M project that is being delivered using the design-build alternative delivery method. The project adds new carpool lanes, expands Sacramento Regional Transit District's (SacRT) light rail, rehabilitates 51 miles of pavement, increases vertical clearance on seven overcrossings, widens 11 bridges, and adds intelligent transportation system (ITS) elements. The project was awarded to Flatiron in April 2020 will take approximately 4 years to complete.
