About the event
Folsom Boulevard Streetscape Enhancements Project was a 17 year and over a $42 million investment from the City of Rancho Cordova that transformed 4-mile arterial corridor from a distressed street segment to a complete street that supports economic development, alternate modes of transportation, safety, educational institutions and future growth. The project improvements included widened sidewalks, curb & gutter, Class II bike lanes, storm drains, street lighting, mid-block crossings, traffic signals, medians, landscaping, fencing, bus stops, pavement markings, wall mural and a monument sign. The project was delivered in five phases and required extensive coordination with the County of Sacramento, Sacramento Regional Transit, CalAm Water, Golden State Water, Sacramento County, Water Agency, Sacramento Regional Sewer District, Caltrans, City Departments and various adjacent property owners. The project was funded through local funds and various State and Federal funding programs over the 17 year period.
