SCHOLARSHIPS
WTS is committed to the advancement of women in the transportation industry, and one of the many effective ways we actively enable this advancement is through our scholarship program. Since 2005, our Sacramento Chapter has awarded over $125,000 in scholarships to 100 young women pursuing careers supporting the transportation industry through the generous donations of our supporters and members.
Over the next few weeks, we are putting a few of these women in the spotlight with our Scholarship Recognition Showcase! The Showcase will highlight the achievements and careers of some of our past scholarship recipients who have exemplified the success and commitment that WTS strives to foster. We hope to demonstrate how these tenacious women have broken through glass ceilings and kicked open doorways to positively impact the transportation industry with their talents. The world of transportation and the industries that support it have experienced many great benefits from the hands and minds of these exceptional women, and your donations have helped equip their journey.
